Curious, whats going on with those other two lines? Are they to eyelets in the tree? To carabiners. One knotted? I am not a climber so just curious and trying to puzzle it out.
Been slacking, meaning ZERO working out other than my job all year, but somehow still in OK shape thankfully, since I learned to eat better (and less) during last year’s fitness edition. But approaching the 90 day countdown til Colorado rifle. July 1 is the deadline to get going. Just want to...
yep, its my go to hunting/butchering knife. I have 50 knives in the house probably, this one has done way more than its fair share. Dad bought it in Finland and gave to me as a gift when I was a kid.
I definitely get more pleasure out of not buying things lately. Even more pleasure when I occasionally break down and buy some overpriced thing, then more often than not quickly realize what crap it is compared to something cheaper I could have bought 10 years ago, and return it. That is pure joy.
Good points but I’ll also take whatever help I can get from nature and I’m not that picky on age, so maybe I’ll have a similar outcome if I decide to go, LOL. I was thinking I’d focus on whitetail but the idea of bringing home a late prairie muley is damn appealing.
Is it worth the trip if hunting on public and fighting the orange swarms? Oct is not possible for me so I’m considering my options for 3rd week of Nov.
Ok… after cleanout how do you most effectively butcher these things? My dad did one when I was a kid. Always thought I might again. In my job, I participate in a lot of turtle survey and conservation activities. So its a bit of a mental hurdle to follow through, not least which I would be deemed...
Part A: In my memories mostly, like in their nursery when I was able to rock my infant daughters to sleep 14 and 16 years ago.
Lots of places out west I love but none I get back to often enough, some if ever, to lay claim to as my official happy place - yet. So, Part B: In my daydreams.
If only there was another activity with adverse ecological side effects to wildlife known to biologists that could be addressed by eliminating the incentive….🤔 (full hijack.. 🫣)
AZ deer is getting dropped from my app plan today. Getting to be too much from every angle and I need to simplify somewhere. The base license is excessive for a tag I have no intention of hunting this year, and even if I did, would be veeeerrry unlikely to draw this year or anytime soon. By the...
WARNING to all who hate spiders. THESE are common in Colorado and surrounding states. DO NOT APPLY for licences in these areas if you want to live. That is all.
Between elk and antelope I have a combined 5 decades (plus) of points. Pretty stupid I didn’t use my elk points this year… would have drawn 🤦🏻♂️
Pretty stupid I havn’t used my antelope points too… could have drawn any of the past 5-10 years… 🤷🏻♂️
Stupid is as stupid does.
Dive into the way draws are run, nonresident quotas, recent or proposed changes to each state’s system, licence trends, odds, fees, years to draw, and the cost-benefit of accumulating points for a given state/species. Do not simply buy into what the states themselves tell you. Easy example is...
Ha, yeah I’d love to but I’m gonna be very pressed for time and weighed down with a bull and a buck if all goes well. It would be a great time. You gonna try? I do definitely want to get back there, and soon.
