Uncle Larry's Last Elk Hunt
You say you hope everyone has a Uncle Larry type, and many probably may. But I’ll bet fewer have a “Nephew Randy” type who would put so much into helping make every hunt so memorable, and possible. Been thinking about this some more all day and appreciate the comments. I decided, even though they are not actually jammed, they look too long and to not even bother with testing them but to seat the long rounds one band deeper and then compare to the shorties. Barnes TTSX seating and pressure
Very good points, these are hunting rounds, not benchrest. I am not carefully sorting cases by volume, just by weight, and therefore will not be trying to stretch beyond max load in any case, but some max’s are listed as compressed. And in my rifle, I have to seat way out to be around .05...- Bullshot

Hornets nest
Taken care of a few of these using all kinds of methods. Most satisfying was tying a can of charcoal lighter fluid affixed to a long stick and dumping it on top to soak for a few seconds. Anything worth casting for in mid - late Oct around the NE corner of CO? What kind of fish are even present? Is the S. Platte wadeable? Muddy? Sandy? I’ll be deer hunting in the region but interested in spending any free time looking for a chance to fish or go after some small game.- Bullshot
