Nope. I know @mtmiller , @Buschy ,@Oak , @BuzzH , @The Hedgehog were all here about the time I joined.
I bought this joint from @Moosie in Jan 2009. He started the joint and invited us all to come here when the guy who owned HuntInfo.com got pissed at all of us, which was funny. Moosie...
'Tis the season of discounts. We always tell people to not pay full retail. Well, between now and November 30, 2024, Kenetrek is having its big fall discount sale where boots are anywhere from 20-50% off.
If you want to get a free pair of hunting gaiters, in addition to big savings on some...
Suicide stemming from who, the hunters or the ranchers? If it was hunters, the rule would have been changed by now, as there is some great Wyoming state lands that would be good to have a hunting camp.
Looking at some of the recent elk management policies forced on WY G&F by the legislature and...
The lands in discussion are far more than Wyoming. Even if, a big IF, Wyoming were to change their rules on state lands to allow hunters to camp,......
Do you think Colorado is going to change their rules and suddenly allow open access to 23 million acres of formerly Federal land to now be open...
I love every bit of this. I am grateful for the states that can still provide general hunting for residents. Yeah, a few tweaks can always be implemented, but the legacy of deer camps I saw in Idaho last month and the generational stories told by some of those hunters once again impressed on me...
I would suggests reading what Wyoming put out on this with their support. They want it all, not just "unappropriated" BLM lands.
And, the attorneys I've hired have pointed out the legal contradiction of what Utah has asked for. They are bifurcating BLM lands from other "unappropriated" lands...
The contradiction some are trying to paint is not consistent.
Never have the states relinquished their rights to wildlife. They have relinquished their rights to claims to any Federal lands as part of their admittance to the Union. That's the big difference that many seem to forget. The USSC...
What you point out is all "virtue signaling." The folks like you mention in Iowa will ask for favors from the supporters of this effort when they need some votes and support on other issues that will come.
It is a byproduct of the fringe elements working their way higher up the pole of...
It's not been overlooked. It's been pointed out to all of them.
That said, some Republicans would not want that outcome. Yet for the Republicans who have been handed the microphone to establish Republican policy on the issue, that is the goal.
I am focused on the former group, believing...
They don't have a plan. Their plan is to hope nobody asks the hard questions that pull back the curtains of what their strategy really is - privatize these lands.
The "drive-by-litigators" (borrowed that term from @Ben Lamb) are licking their chops. The Endangered Species Act is not going away...
As part of my morning coffee I usually spend 1-2 hours reading newsletters I subscribe to that keep me informed about public land and conservation issues. Being on the road most of the last three months, I have a lot of catching up to do.
I subscribe to as many of the "opposition" emails as I...
