Montana Archery
I think what you're seeing are the wilderness early rifle areas. Archery is so short there because it opens up for rifle. Pretty sure anyway, if memory serves 316 is the Absaroka Beartooth wilderness and 280 is the Bob. Not 100% sure about that have to go look it up. -

They paint a rosy picture of landowners, managers and hunters all holding hands and singing campfire songs over how great the shoulder seasons are. MT Big Game Rifle season - week 1

Just another Raghorn
Congrats on the bull Rat Fink! To me a rag is a 2-3 year old bull that hasn't filled out yet. I've seen 6 point raghorns before. I've heard it said the name raghorn is due to the younger bulls retaining the velvet longer leaving what looks like rags hanging. BTW I'll call immature muleys and... -
Rifle Suggestion for Wife
I'd vote for 270. My wife has shot one for many years now and kills elk, deer, antelope etc. very proficiently. -
