    Protection in bear country

Bingo. He's only 58, so I would assume that the blow to his head aggravated the situation.

    Protection in bear country

He fell off the horse when the horse bolted and hit his head apparently. I believe my original post DID say the horse threw him.

    Protection in bear country

That happened to a hunting buddy of mine in Oct 2022 while on a horse. The 16-hand mare got it in the face and so did he. Even the guide caught part of it. The horse threw him and ran off. 2-weeks later my buddy was home bow hunting in a tree stand nad gets so dizzy he can't get down. Had to call...

    Protection in bear country

I hunted the Little Belts in 2022. A local I met while walking the woods before the season opened suggested to be extra aware. The Park Service has been releasing problem bears in the Little Belts and Crazies. FYI.

    Meopta warranty experience

So far my experimentation with Meopta is questionable. I put a Meopta Optika6 on a Browning BAR Safari2 in .338 Win Mag. But after burning up a lot of ammo, and moving the scope further away from the objective bell it still is doing some wierd things. Not sure if it is the rifle or the scope...

    Red tide in Florida

It's not just the sugar industry. It's also condo & HOA developers building homes in Central Florida. And the developers from the early 1900s that put in the Tamiami Trail.

    Red tide in Florida

So, as an update, the Army Corp is emptying Lake Ockochobee once again into the 2 tributaries that lead out top the Gulf and to the Atlantic ocean. This started approximately a month or so ago. I'm not familar with the Gulf exit point, but I am on the East coast through the St. Lucie River. That...

    Swarovski NL pure

I bought the 12s about a month ago. There are a couple of this I find really annoying. I wish I had had the ability to hold them & look through the glass. The clarity is amazing. But a couple of these points I find half-assed. The way the strap attaches is pure garbage. Trying to get the one...

    Need excellent quality hunting clothes?

I bought the bibs. The weave is very tight, and I'd say the thickness isn't as heavy as the shirts or jackets, but they still should be very warm.

Elk Caliber and Bullet Choice - 2024

I was lucky to draw a Montana Big Game tag, and I think that based on trigger and accuracy, I'll take the Browning Mark3 BAR in .300 Wm with Federal Premium 180gr Trophy Copper, and as a backup rifle the Browning Safari Mark2 in .338 WM with Hornady 230gr Prec Hntr. Also bringing the M77 LH in...

    Grizzlies in the Bighorns

The number of competent people in the govt on both sides is quite limited. Voters are dumb. They keep asking these incompetents to solve our problems. We deserve them.

There ya go. Read my post about Florida beaches going from solely public to private because of jackass Huckabee. Mr. great guy. Let me add this. The reasoning behind turning public beaches into private is that pubklic beaches can be filled with rifraff. 2 weeks ago we had a 16 yr old kid with a...

I would say, ya just never know what could happen, right? Some properties will be affected and others won't. Here in Floirda, we are going through a similar uproar over people in the panhandle (Destin, FL) that now have "private beaches". You can thank that bum Huckabee for starting the problem...

All we are all saying is: There's more than one way to skin a cat. Not trying to criticize you. Just open your mind. There are no hard and fast rules in politics and the court system. When i posted this, I was trying to foster discussion. Sometimes, when you toss out an idea, it might seem...

Bingo. That would certainly be a pretty strong argument publicly. Whether he knew it when he said it, that it could potentially bite him in the ass, would be ironic. LOLOL.
