Has anybody ever used the long ringe boats Intrepid or Independence out of San Diego? Thinking of doing a 15 or 16 day tuna trip. I ain't a rookie, so keep the comments from somebody who has actually been on these boats. I've got my own top-quality equipment, or will buy it ahead of time for the...
Thats a good question. Never heard of them. Order a small amount, so you don't have a lot of dough at risk. Put it on a credit card for protection. That way, of they don't deliver, you can call your credit card company. Make sure they send you a tracking# immediately after charging your credit card.
My pleasure. Schnees are good people. The kid running the optics in Bozeman is the owner's son. His name is Jack Howard (son). They make $*)Q!#@$ awesome boots too.
That's good, I guess. It assumes that the the incompetents in govt will do a good job checking. Montana is probabley better than a lot of states, BUT there are less. Unfortunately. The sad truth.
So, I'll bet you just love Walmart!! They destroyed the mom & pop stores. And what do we have now?? A bunch of chinese sht the fills up our landfills. Competition, hey! Maybe you should experience some of big corporate tactics yourself!!
Big corporate elitists. The rules can change when ever the choose. The people on the board are the dck suckers from big corporations, the "beautiful" people. If youre a rancher, you sure has hell don't want their friggen buffalo with that one disease (bruselosis) and how they tear your barb wire...
Buy those NL Pures from Schnees in Bozeman. No sales tax!!! And you get the sale price. I bought mine about a month and a half ago. Great binos. I got the 12x42s. If you bouys those, make sure you get the headrest. A must, and you may not need the tripod adapter.
Ouch, you are right on expensive ass hunting clothes. How much better could they be than Johnson Woolen Mills?? $850 for their hunting coat. Yikes. I wanna say Johnson Mills was more like $500. But I'll look it up and report back. I looked up their hooded jacket and it ran $400. Is Sleeping...
I refuse to buy anything from Cabelas. I was a customer for 30 years. After Johnny Morris bought the company, it was already headed down the shitter, but it really sht the bed. a bunch 0f chinese crap. And they sold the cabelas credit card to ??? can't remember but they were awful.mLong story...
If it's snowing when I walk in, Ive got a drover's Poncho from Skip's Western Wear here in the Daytona area. It has a Goretex liner for wind & rain. Nevertheless, I bought 3 gals of Starbrite Waterproofer to spray all my wool hunting clothes, the drover's poncho, other rian gear, my Marmot tent...
I'll have to check them out. Im pretty well set for wool clothes. The people at Johnson Mills have been so nice, and I kinda have loyalty to them. Helping out Americans that work hard.
I agree completely. For years I can't tell ya how much I spent at Cabelas. I'll try out the wool in Montana this Fall for my elk & mule deer hunts. For sitting for long periods, I'll be bringing along a Feathered Friends Heavy down parka in my pack. Before I walk, I'll put it back in the pack.
Thanks for the suggestion. I used to have a turkey hunting seat like that. I have the Hatch Outdoors bipods, normal & Tall. I also have a shooting bag I carry that is ultra light. It's filled with styrofoam beads not sand. I should be set. The Hatch bipods ain't cheap, family-business made in...
Latest update. Completed the tall target test for the Browning BAR in .338 win mag. Test went perfectly. Groups were at 5,10, & 15 MOA and dead on. Got a group as small as 9/16". The rifle seems to like Hornady Outfitter ammo with the 225gr CX bullet. I ordered 25 boxes of it immediately. They...
I was amazed at how many responded to my thread. I had a sense when I posted it after contacting two friends that were experienced shooters. I did my tall-target test today with that .338 win mag and got a 9/16" group with the elevation cranked up 15 MOA. I also checked the 10 & 5 MOA, and...
I am so tickled I discovered the problem with LS. And more importantly, it didn't ruin any of my scopes. I was also amazed that I was getting great groups (less than 1") out of that .338 Browning BAR Safari. That will be a great rifle for elk. A little on the heavy side, with a strap and scope...
