My nephew went to work at a Caterpillar shop about 10 years ago they have sent him to all kinds of training. He works in a big clean shop on big Cat equipment, sometimes goes on the road where he might have to work on Cat equipment at a mine or construction site. Loves his job.
Elk vouchers do go for a premium price in the sought after units. Around here an archery unit wide voucher only, goes for about $7000 - $8000 and they don’t last but a day or two.
Once you pay the landowner for the voucher its yours and you can use it or resell it. A lot of landowners I know sell to outfitters or guys that show up with cash.

You should reach out to people by PM because every other guy who doesn’t know where to put in for or knows nothing about NM elk hunting will be following along and now your draw odds are much worse than when you first started asking.
When we allow someone access to hunt our private which isn’t offend cash is king. Someone kills a 350 bull and I’m not really interested in a box of crackers and a roll of sausage. You have a tag and you can join all the other hunters on public but when you have access to ”good”private thats...
The wilderness in unit 36 is closed until 12/30/21 or until the weather improves and they get much needed moisture. All roads leading to the wilderness are also closed due to the 3 Rivers fire.
I know the feeling !! I’ve had horses that were like him, take you all over the mountains in any terrain safely and get you back to the trailer to ride another day. A good horse/mule is a good friend no doubt.
