Well, learn me something schmaltz! I appreciate your knowledge. I'm not expecting to use the spotter at 60x magnification at dusk, I would just like to see further than my binos. Right now, my current scope is useless at 20X. I did a little researching and found that exit pupil/light...
Hey Guys,
I'm in the market for a new spotting scope. I figure I have around $500-$600 to spend- closer to $500 would be great! Right now I have an Alpen 745, and while their warranty is AWESOME (sent a scope in twice and was replaced) it's just not doing the trick. It works fairly well...
You guys are great! :D
Old man- (on a serious note) if my messages take too long to write, it will automatically kick me off. If I'm on a rant and it takes me forever to write my post/reply, I make sure I copy it before sending. That way, if it kicks me off, I have all my text saved. Then I...
Looks like every single first choice NR applicant got their tag, before 2nd choice residents drew. A hard cap would open up more tags for 2nd choice residents while retaining their preference points. Which might screw up the whole preference point system in another way... Don't know why...
Hey Oak, wouldn't an 80-20 split with hard caps leave even more licenses that aren't drawn (leftover)? Isn't that what the CPW don't want to have happen? Personally, I have always wanted them to have a hard cap (this is me being selfish in my area) because it would allow me to draw licenses as...
I guess CPW should try to dip a little more into the "marijuana pie". :) Really, I think the state made somewhere around 60 million dollars last in tax revenue, and projections show that it will continue to climb. The state will make more money, it should manage it appropriately.
So, if we refuse to pay more we will get longer seasons?... Or get hosed again. Personally, I choose to pay more to ensure better opportunities as a resident hunter. It is our wildlife, and we are more than generous to NRs. And this COA group keeps trying to bend us over.
Oak, what do you...
You were their b!tch... :D
And you're not always guiding... you may be fixing fence, cleaning vehicles, taking people shopping, running a "taxi", etc...
Your post made me think of my first! So, I ended up writing another. Enjoy all the time you have like that- it will keep getting better. Best of luck to the young outdoorsman!
I had been lurking on this site for years before signing up in 2009. After that I have shared a few pictures of my son hunting or fishing with me. One of my first posts was of his first fish he caught by himself, from cast to reel, and he wasn't quite 2 years old. I thought it was odd that a...
