A main concern in my part of the world (not sure if it's in the states) with canines is hydatid tapeworm, you really don't want that. Mind you the risk would have been highest in handling the animal over well cooked meat. I never handle foxes without gloves because of it.
I would have stayed with GMX, but if you wanted to go down the factory route should have bought a box to see how your rifle likes them first. Sure they're plenty cheaper in the states but here you don't get much change out of $100 per box of Vortx
I am not one to make a stand on something I don't know so I won't go into the detail of what you have said other than by saying you obviously know more than I pn that topic.
My experience has been from talking with ADI, what Aust munitions send to Hodgdon is the same as what they brand locally...
Assuming that you're talking about 7mm08 or RM you are i assume wanting to keep it to american calibres. In that case 30-06, it's still one of the best calibres around the world for all game. If you included euro cals into it it would still be up there but not no.1
H4350 is just rebranded Australia ADI 2209. ADI is owned by Australian Munitions which is designed for our military. The big selling point on ADI powder is that it's stable under all weather.
On that note it's frustrating that Hodgdon powder is just our powder with the hodgdon sticker slapped...
I don't believe it's made any longer but I loved Alliant Black MZ powder, consistent and clean. Might be worth a try if you can pick it up somewhere.
Best of luck on your hunt.
I find the best thing about the ttsx over say the tsx is that it opens more readily. Even on lighter game like fallow does that weigh 90lb, a shot that doesnt connect on heavy bone still seems to open up well in 7mm and 30 cals in my experience. I currently run TTSX in my 30-06, atomic 29 in my...
I don't hunt in camo anymore and so far it has not impacted my ability to get as close to animals at all. A lot of what people consider essential these days in my experience isn't necessary. It's a generation of gear heads, but that pales in comparison to knowledge of animals and the ability to...
Lots of loads throw a cold bore shot, of all you have mentioned my favourite has been TTSX.
This is not a criticism but I have noticed lots of guys these days are so obsessed with accuracy (I went through that phase). In that they need sub sub moa groups to be happy. I used to screw around...
Gets played here but it doesn't seem much aussie music makes it to the states. This is some of the not huge overseas but big in aus stuff.
Rock
Psychedelic
Acoustic

If you're hunting in SA and it's a once off you're probably financially better off just using one of their rifles. I realise I'm not the norm but I find 375 to be an inbetween calibre. A 9.3x62 gives almost the same performance as a 375 for around 25% less recoil so is great as a gun for elk and...
If it aint broke don't fix it, never leave deer to find deer. Pick your cliche but in my books you've already answered your own question.
You read a lot of pro nosler on this forum becuase it's a pro nosler forum, same as reading a lot of pro swift stuff of the African hunting forum.
Of all...
Generally anything that is restricted from coming into Australia is also restricted within the country. I can't buy ammo, projectiles, cases or guns online and have them shipped to me. But I can have shotgun wads shipped and I can have sabots shipped.
