Not bad, similar taste to venison but more gamey. I'd never take it over a deer. We have the opposite system to you guys. Natives are all protected so there is no regulated recreational hunting of kangaroos/wallabies, only market hunting. If the average joe wants to eat it you need to buy it...
I grew up on a farm and made a career in conservation for the govt so I've had a fair amount of experience with roo control and that's a big stretch. The vast majority of control permits are for between 20-40 animals.
G'day,
Wanting to know how others hang their skulls/euros on the wall?
I'm not going to spend $100 on the skull hooker things and mounting them to a board doesn't really do it for me.
Appreciate any other suggestions or designs.
I've always thought that if you want to make yourself a target put hunting stickers all over your car and spotlights in your roof.
I take your approach and have never had an issue. Between that and the fact that I don't wear camo people don't realise I'm a hunter until they see a gun in my hand.
My GSP bitch is great to people and is fine with dogs if she approaches them. But if dogs come rushing up into her face it's a different story.
I've had a couple of issues over the years where people have let their off the leash dogs run up into my bitches face to their peril. There's nothing...
How it's enforced here is that police can turn up to your house and Check your safe. I had it last week, check off that what you have is what's listed and it's secured properly.
I couldn't disagree more with this. I had Meopta and they had nothing on Leica, light transmission, colour, clarity etc. Pick your comparison. Leica is what I run now which I would argue is on par with Swarovski a d far better than my meopta ever were.
And people say we have it bad!
In Australia it varies slightly state to state but in Vic to get a firearms license you need a genuine reason. That could be as a primary producer (farmer), gun club membership or hunting license for example. I have always just got a written letter from my father...
Not CVA specific (don't think they're available in my country and don't think they do sidelocks) but I'd be interested to know what others do for extending their range out to say 200yds for hunting with open sights. I know there is the globe front sight but with the fine crosshairs I think that...
Fin I would love to see some muzzleloader hunts on your show, I don't know how it works with your planning of hunts and such but during a general season in MT if you could sneak out for a day or two with a smoke pole I would be among many people who would enjoy it.
I was going to correct you but thought I should double check and by golly you are right. Only people from Australia and Singapore can buy property there.
Just move to my state in Aus, you can hunt deer all year round and when you need a change, NZ is a four hour flight away. Better wages here too
Move to New Zealand! most of the country is public land, free hunting, game everywhere, great people, warm summers and cold winters.
I'd love to do it myself.
