The round I’ve got are the 127 Barnes, and that’s all I would have interest in shooting. I’ve had some poor experiences with lead bass bullets in hunting situations. I’d have to think that the .264 meat damage is based off target selection and not necessarily the caliber in general? A well...- MTHunter1321

Call me crazy but I’ve got 60 rounds so far. Will likely make it 80 by tomorrow. That’s one thing that draws me to Weatherby is if they come out with a round it seems they’ll put ammo for it. Whether or not it’s on the shelf is another story- MTHunter1321

Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Stainless .264 Win. Mag.
I have a Model 70 Super Grade in a 300WSM. Got it in 2010. Really like the looks and feel of it, but have had fits getting it to shoot well. Have tried different scopes etc, and now have it into a gunsmith to dissect it piece by piece. Really want it to be a shooter for me.- MTHunter1321

Easter Elk Steak Disaster - Rescued
You’ll probably be glad you tried it! 120 and a 5 min rest is my go to for game. When I do it using my sous vide I’ll do it at 118 for an hour then sear for a couple minutes each side and a couple minute rest before thinly slicing. That’s a favorite in our house.- MTHunter1321

You’re absolutely correct that people don’t have the patience. I get it if people are hunting for meat, shoot whatever floats your boat, but also can’t complain that there’s no big bucks anywhere. Weatherby - Vanguard vs. Mark V
I picked up a Vanguard Sporter Deluxe (I think) from Wal Mart a few years ago in a 270 win for $350 and the thing is a tack driver. It has an old Burris 3x9 on it.
