Worked: -Thin merino gloves from Kuiu. Hard to believe something so thin cloud keep hands warm in snow and cold. Plan to use as a liner with more substantial mittens during extended glassing sessions. -Kuiu guide jacket. love this jacket! -FL merino base layers and Sitka mid layers. Super...- ewludwig

Great work. Hope your recovery goes well. Pretty routine procedure.....especially for someone as young and fit as you. I’m sure the physician isn’t used to his/her pacemaker patients going elk hunting the very next week. -

I figured you were close. I’ve heard stories of monsters roaming the woods around campus. Went to the Tommie/Johnnie game last year with a guy that lives nearby as well. He verified all the rumors. Good luck....hope he lands on your wall. -

Just finished Sapiens....A Brief History of Humankind. One of the most thought provoking books I have ever read. Just starting Crazy Horse and Custer by Stephen Ambrose. Not super motivated by it. May have to pick one of the selections mentioned in this thread.- ewludwig

Hard to believe it’s been nearly 3yrs since I posted this. Even more difficult to believe our boy was just diagnosed with lymphoma. Started chemo on Monday. Praying the treatment goes well. My girls are so attached and we have many more hunts to go on together.- ewludwig

I think Ross pretty much covered everything. I will echo the following: Rifle scabbard. The salt spray was impossible to manage regardless of how much lube I put on the rifle. Breathable waders with a good boot were awesome. I wish I had those longer neoprene gloves with the Velcro wrist...- ewludwig

New puppy update
A guy at the Game Fair in Anoka told me to take the dog’s weight at 16 weeks and double it to get the weight of your dog fully grown. That has proven accurate for my almost 3y/o lab.- ewludwig
