    Archery success rates are typ always going to be lower then a firearm. With that being said figure out the type of hunt you want to have, see what units offer that hunt and if you can draw. I would say there are OTC options out there that are better then some of the 2-4 point units.

    I have always ran a hard top and have had good luck purchasing a used ones, ends up being cheaper even if needing to paint. I suggest getting ones that the side windows open like the rear, makes getting to gear easier and more convenient.

    280AI is a great cartridge, if wanting something different then what you already have, why not just get a savage ultralight, it already has a carbon fiber proof barrel and then swap the stock out if you don't like the fit.

    Awesome SM bass fishing in Traverse bay, Burt/Mullet lake, Lake Charlevoix, Jordan river you could do a fly fishing trip. Its a little ways away but pictured rocks national lake shore is cool spot to check out.
