I first looked on the west side of Strawberry Butte. Did a big loop up there. and didn't see any goats until I circled back south along the 32/33 boarder. There is a waterhole just north of Bog Hot Rd that held a herd of antelope. only saw an average goat in that group. 41.926950°, -118.765386°- Baerman

I found most of the antelope up in deer country and over somewhat near the reservoirs but did not spend more than half a day on the east side...- Baerman

These are really nice boats. I would definitely look at these closer but I am leaning towards a sled like configuration. The sled allows people to cast, fight fish 360 degrees and just seems like the most efficient use of space. The only downfall that I can see is not having a window and canopy...- Baerman

Good info, thank you! I would mostly, at least initially use it on the Clearwater and Columbia. Maybe at some point I would get comfortable with some rapids but I'm getting more conservative as I get older...and the wife might kill me if the rapids didn't. I think the Raptor has a wider beam...- Baerman

This is interesting as I've seen some boats with this set up and assumed it was for the purpose you have stated. This would work well on flat water but what about a river with some current, not talking white water obviously.- Baerman

Light cheap accurate rifle
I don't think you'll be upset with the Ruger American. The bolt is not super smooth and the stock is flimsy but it's lights out accurate and the barrel is pre-threaded for a brake. You can get an aftermarket stock for it down the road if you want. I'm just as comfortable with my Ruger american... -

How loud are Wolves?
In the right setting, still crips night with probably a very slight breeze in my direction, I've heard wolves howling on the opposite side of a large valley. I'd estimate it was about 3-4 miles away. Oct. 1 last year, I heard a wolf howling on a mountain top above camp at around 2 miles away...
