Decline of elk quality in Colorado GMU 61
I hunted 61 in 4th rifle season. Seemed pretty good to me! Both in quality of bulls and in numbers. I’m used to hunting OTC units and 61 couldn’t be more different. -

How do you dispatch wounded birds?
The head smack has never worked for me. I always wring the neck. For uplands, I spin until the neck breaks, then tuck the head under the wing, hold the wings together while I put it in the vest. Seems to help with flapping- RyGuy
