Sharptail scouting question
What kind of terrain were you finding them in? In the area I hunt, there is a lot of CRP with pockets of sage and leafy trees. We can usually find birds year round in the same general areas if the coyotes haven't had a run on the eggs. They would lay in the fields or sage if left undisturbed but...- huntid73

Deer sausage.
Looks good...I'm looking at doing my first batch next week, and was wondering, how do you check the temp on them? Poke the casing with the probe? Or do I try to check at one of the tied ends?- huntid73

I'm cross dominant the other way, left handed, but right eye dominant...however, I have always shouldered rifles and bows left handed. I tried shooting a RH bow, but could never feel comfortable drawing to that side of my body, so I shoot cross dominant. I think this needs to be considered as... -

The tags go on sale in June I believe, and they sell out in the first day typically...the sale date is listed in the Idaho regulations. To the OP, if you buy the tag OTC, then yes you can still apply for goats, but if you plan to put in for any other controlled hunts, the big three are a no-go... -
Knife Improvement - Looking for input
Havalon Barracuta for the gutting and skinning work, and an old fixed blade I inherited from my grandpa for breaking down quarters in the field (Breaking hams off of pelvis, splitting rib cage, etc...). Ok not to mean to beat this dead horse, but the new Hush video is Eric exclusively showing his prep for Idaho and goes on a big speech about making sure to get proper stamps etc...even mentions that he got his archery permit. Smoker vs Dehydrator
