73 can get a little crowded I think. It can be hard to find them off of private, but it's certainly harder to try and get them off the reservation!! That's the big problem in 70/71. I live in Pocatello, and have hunted Bannock most of my life. Really happy they have the late muzzleloader hunt!!!
Unit 70 is a tough one to hunt. I think a lot of weekend warriors pack up from Poky and hit the area around the forest - elk are there, but they run to the reservation quickly. I have seen more elk in 72, 73, and 74. Just got done with a week long hunt and we were into bulls almost everyday...
I'm surprisingly tech illiterate even though I'm an engineer - so no worries there! This is all interesting to keep an eye on, I know you hunt hard, so looking forward to more of your general testing. Will be nice to save the per month cost and additional item from pack if I can ditch the InReach!
I noticed InReach has the same problem in vehicle, which isn't a terrible thing...my curiosity is this - I can see benefit if I get into trouble to have my location pinged and sent directly to dispatch by hitting the SOS on InReach, I haven't played with my Iphone as much that way, but is there...
I answered to this post 2021, when they only allowed the lead Powerbelt - I did hear that all Powerbelts were now allowed, I am assuming because of the confusion the old law may have created.
It was the BMP. I will admit, the Striker heads do shoot very similar to my standard field points, but my Montecs didn't. I used the BMP for the Montec and they shot the same. I also shot Muzzy's back in the day, and had to really tune in differently between them and my field points (this was...
I shot Montecs for quite a while...never liked how they constantly felt dull. I like the G5 products, and personally switched to the Striker, love that broadhead. Plus I like how they have the practice heads that match the flight of the actual head - I have a lot of confidence in my sight set-up...
Biden is now calling or complete ban on AR-15's in the wake of the shooting - https://www.yahoo.com/news/president-biden-renews-call-ban-165658821.html
In another odd reaction to the assassination attempt, it seems like stocks are rising with the bump in polling and now highly paid attention to...
What I have heard on the Snake River Zone is pretty much to try and find a lot of boundaries between farm fields and the public areas. What I have heard is: multiple fields on a target list, check for tracks and try to catch them as they bounce between three or four different fields. We never...
So what is the plan? He's been charged multiple times with trespass (which even though poaching charges were technically dropped - illegally harvesting an animal is poaching by the letter of law), then this? I think some of us appreciate the more thoughtful response you posted opposed to a...
Now he's pushing the .22 Creedmor....some golden comments on that post as well, I really enjoy the comment about how suppressing that round helps with poaching! :ROFLMAO:
So I see the trespass and disturbing the peace is going to sentencing....does anyone have any deeper info on that?? But I notice the Unlawful Possession of Wildlife seems to be vacated. I'm curious as to where everything stands. It seemed like there were a few folks commenting here from that...
