$52 is actual msrp. If you really want the facts I don't even pay retail for anything. That's one benefit to your parents owning a gun store. I can get anything and everything at wholesale price. So my actual cost was a lot closer to $40 a box and I got the whole case. Still everyone saying that...
Where are you getting mag primers shipped for $10 a hundred? Or rl15 for 45 a lb? I did miss the 2 different bullets on your list. I picked up my ammo right from the store. I started reloading a long time ago With everything I have purchased over the years and time spent trying to get a hunting...
Well a quick math calculation puts you at $2.60 per round. I don't know what you are loading but a 300 prc takes way more powder. They are the exact same price already loaded as what you are spending. $52.00 a box. Cheap ammo isn't over $2.00 a round. About $1.50 for winchester in the small...
About the only reason to reload anymore is just to be able to use the bullets you want. I went out and shot up a bunch of factory ammo today. Hornady 300 prc precision hunter. Es was a whopping 48 and that was 8 rounds. It's not easy getting that reloading. All the $$$ you'll spend getting...
If you are going the shotgun direction for her in the house I'd just go with a 410. She needs to be proficient with the weapon. If you put her behind something that is going to beat her lights out she's not going to want to shoot it ever. Then if the time comes and she needs to use it she will...
Underwood is far from cheap. Alot of people really like it.
To the OP I've never used it myself as I load my own. I've had people say that the only expensive ammo they would buy is Underwood or bear load
Get a rifle with a brake on it. It reduces the recoil tremendously. I know some people will say it makes it to loud. A brake doesn't make it any louder it's just redirecting the noise from straight away to multiple directions. That's what makes a brake work.
There's many options out there...
If you decide to get a Semiautomatic most manufacturers make a 22 version of their most popular products. I'd get one of those also and use it to practice. Ammo is very cheap and the gun functions exactly like the big ones. That's what I did for my wife and stepdaughter. Some also have...
Maybe by next summer we will see more stuff. With hunting season fast approaching and still a very limited amount of hunting ammo available the components are still going to ammo production. There's so much handgun and 223/556 available that's why we are seeing small pistol and small rifle...
It is a beautiful Henry lever action chambered in. 308. It's the first gun I have purchased that I don't plan on shooting. It's nickel plated with 24k gold inlays
I went with a tikka t1x. Put a leupold freedom rimfire 3-9 on it. I got it to small game hunt but also practice with since most of my other rifles are tikka. Now all the guys at the range have talked me into shooting competitions with it and it has no trouble keeping up with all the custom built...
Just a heads up Brownell's has 57 different powders in stock and Remington srp. Natchez has a few different primers in stock. No large rifle or magnum rifle but they have everything else
Unfortunately 99% of the bullets available are match. There's been a few 127 and 130 6.5 show up now and then but the bigger stuff I haven't seen in a long time.
