Call me crazy but..8mm Mauser
I didn't realise it, but Norma has discontinued a bunch of their 8mm mauser ammo. And what's left isn't loaded like then old stuff. Regardless the 8mm will kill any elk or deer stone dead all day long. -

With Norma ammo loaded to CIP pressures the 8mmx57 is basically a twin of the 30-06. It will certainly kill any elk that walks out to 400 yards easy. -

New Predator in Yellowstone Reshapes Park's Entire Ecosystem
I would think wolves hammering the moose would impact stream side trees more than elk. Elk are primarily grazers and moose browsers. Yellowstone is so out of wack from a biological standpoint its ridiculous. For starters buffalo have over grazed large portions of the park and severely so.- BWALKER77

SO2 hasn't been an issue with coal plants for a very long time. Same story for heavy metals. The plant I worked at had mercury capture back in the early Bush years.Coal ash is also not an issue. The economics of natural gas aren't so rosey right now. While it's a common leftists mantra tht natural gas beat out coal based on economics that simply isn't accurate. Those jobs are well under 20 an hour. Refineries you have to try to make less than 100k a year and the one I work at hasn't had lay offs in decades.
