Yes, I'm just under 26,000 with my E42, but DOT looks at your GVWR. So my truck is rated for 11,000 and some change and my trailer is 16,000. So my GVWR is 27,000. So even though my GVW is under 26,000 I still have to run DOT compliant.
Where your truck is in the 11,000 range, if you were to...
7 years ago I went from doing excavation in the private sector to working for a state entity as an equipment operator/water system operator. That job gave me the freedom to do a lot more on the side, so I started renting equipment and taking on some small excavation projects. The last couple of...
I went and dug a house foundation for a guy in our county. After talking to him for a while I found out, he recently sold his farm and kept this pivot corner to build his house on. He is building the house for his "Ukrainian Girlfriend" to come move in with him. He has been sending her money for...
I have never had good luck with bladders, so I moved to these.

My step mom asked me last week if she should refinance her house from a 2% interest rate to around an 8% rate, all for the sake of throwing her credit cards on the house. My jaw hit the floor at her stupidity. I'm sure my dad was rolling over in his grave.
Yes, I do. It gives me a lot more freedom to choose what it's invested in, how aggressive I can be and do forth. Also with this option, I'm fully vested at day 1. If I leave, which I'm working on doing, by starting my own excavation business, I take it all with me and can roll it into something...
I work for a state entity, they no longer participate in the state pension system, they stopped in 2015, now they just give you an additional 14.2% of your wage to go in a 403B of your choosing.
I was all in on buying the raffle tickets for me and my boys, until I read the fine print and saw you had to have your Utah hunting license. But I have no intention of playing the Utah game so we sat out on raffle tickets.
I should have snapped a picture. But I kid you not, the first thing I saw outside of the bathroom when we first got there, was 2 guys staying there looking at the booth map, full camo and loaded Stone Glacier packs. I had the same thought as you, "what the hell would you carry around in there?"
I took my three boys to the expo yesterday, it has probably been 25 years since I went as a teenager, and now I don't care if I ever go back.
My observations:
I can't believe how many people I saw walking around with fully loaded packs
And it's not just because they bought a pack there...
Last time I was there, the load on my semi was 2" too tall to go through the tunnel. It was a very long and scenic detour to go around the tunnel. I wished they had an over height sensor at the bottom of the hill before pulling that grade.
Good luck on the sheep hunt.
I have an amazing wife and we support each other in parenting and in all of our interests. I will and always have made her take time away from the kids to go on get aways with her sisters. In like manner she has always supported me and let me take all the time off that I have wanted to hunt. And...
