I pretty much can't do anything IPA. It tasted like pine cones and hair spray to me. I'm susrprised to see some hate for Moose Drool though.
As my friend @Southern Elk says, Curs Liiite, 2 at a time, and keep em comin.
Phone calls may be the way to go. We have the option via our membership database to drill down to a certain distance from the location of an event and filter our contact list based on that area. Maybe phone calls based off of that would help things out.
I've had the same experience down south. I've been with the board of the Southeast Chapter of BHA since day 1, serving in capacities from mebership coordinator, vice chair, chair, and state captain. You can bank on the same group of folks to turn up at the work days, and even the pint nights and...
I saw similar things for moose tags. One unit had a cow tag drawn out at 3 plus zero, and another tag drawn out at 3 plus 20. It's not like there were a ton of applicants and the weird draw process came out in favor of the zero point guy. There were 12 eligible applicants for 5 tags.
Welcome to Hunttalk.
Seriously though, make sure to get the details on beer availability and road glassing opportunities in case I don't pull my tag in CO and come "assist".

When we find the deer, the hunters are usually so excited that it's hard to speak my mind. I will share pictures and stories of similar shots that didn't end in a recovered deer. Neck shots or high shoulders with gaping wounds on camera, 3 legged deer, deer missing lower jaws from botched...
That's pretty much it. A skim or an area with little blood flow will be affected just like it was shot without a pod. A shot that passes through or into a muscle with good blood flow would allow the anectine to get into the system.
No. It has to get into the bloodstream. A large muscle hit will get one within 50 to 75 yards, a gut shot deer will die of the gut shot rather than the anectine from the pod.
Pods are only legal in Mississippi, and it's a gray area here. I have, in the past, shot pods. If the right situation presents itself I'll do it again too. I feel a lot more comfortable on urban hunts shooting pods. Bad shots happen, and a bad shot in the wrong area leaves a deer dying on a golf...
