I was sneaking up on a doe years ago. I was in range and waiting for her to turn broadside when I saw something move up on the hill to my right. It was a big buck. I forgot about the doe and knelt behind a mulberry tree waiting for a shot at the buck. He sniffed around and chased the doe for...
Cabelas began to go downhill when they became a publicly traded company. When Basspro bought them out they really went to crap. Now it's all just overpriced and/or low quality merchandise.
How are things in Sydney Nebraska now?
On my old farm I used to throw them out in the field in the winter so I could watch the eagles eat them. On other people's property I dump them in the brush or a ravine out of sight.
I cut open a turkey's gizzard one spring. Inside I was surprised to find that, instead of stones for grinding up his breakfast, he had a couple of hickory nuts.
My 2011 F150 (I bought it in 2013 with 30k on it) just turned 181,000, and has been the most reliable vehicle I've owned, though my wife's Toyota has been even better. I'll make my son a hell of a deal on it and he'll drive it for the next few years, at least until he's out of high school...
OK guys,
Some of you, it seems, are new to the internet...
If you're against the UAW there's no way you are going to convince the UAW backers that the union is corrupt and destructive of jobs.
If you are for the UAW you aren't going to convince people against the UAW that the union is a...
Yes, I would have but the truck I wanted wasn't in stock anywhere. Couple that with the fact that sticker is over $4000 less for the new model than last year's model and it makes more sense to buy the 2024.
As I understand it the strike (so far) doesn't effect the plants making trucks. Last I heard they were still in negotiations but that Ford was making progress with the union.
When I asked the dealer just shrugged. They said that it was taking 6-8 weeks but that was for the 2023's. Now they are shifting over to 2024 and that whole UAW bullshit that's going on now. I was honestly looking at Toyotas but they just don't make what I want.
I won't argue that tuning is often the problem, especially with most modern broad heads. However, I doubt it's "99% of the time", especially when shooting larger 2 blade cut to tip broadheads with the short fletching that's so popular today.
I'm 51 years old and just put an order in for a new F150.
I've always bought trucks that were a couple of years old and had a little bit of the warranty left on them. Used to be that you could get them for 25-35% less than new. That was a significant savings on vehicles that weren't even...
If it aint broke don't fix it. The only reason I see to switch from a fixed blade to a mechanical is if you are having accuracy issues with fixed blade.
