I agree, although a buddy already broke my heart saying it looks bigger than it actually is based on the inability to see the ears, and the head angled down towards the camera.
After half a day of paddling around a day I managed two muskrats to start my "trapping" season. not exactly easy with Colorado laws. That said, if anyone has tips trapping muskrats in live cage traps, let me know!
I hunted opening weekend in the northwest units, where we'd normally see hundreds of does, dozens of young bucks, and a few shooters, we only saw a couple dozen does, 5 or 6 forkies, and nothing worth shooting. I did manage to shoot a young 3x4 after trying new areas. Tags neeed to be cut down...

No, but it is a low point unit, low enough that it's an easy draw and still plenty of pressure. At least enough pressure that I was surprised to hear any 4 legged bugles.
I've been hunting muzzle loader here in Colorado the last couple days, so far the bugling has been starting around 10am and stopping by 10:30am. Seems strange, but my experience this year, mid day has had the most action.
We tried working into this bull before he quit bugling, and 15 minutes...

I was surprised to see so many commissioners vote against it. It was interesting to see that guy claim only half of land vouchers go to non-residents right before an outfitter said majority of their clients are non-residents.
Well beaver season ended yesterday. After spending hours on google earth scouring for beaver dams on every stream and creek within a 2 hour drive, I found every location to be washed out. I can't say I'm surprised as the google earth images were mostly from 2015, but I assumed beavers would...
