Yes sorry I was pretty vague. We plan on hunting co mid to late sep in 2025 archery. More than likely tent camping/spike camping. We just got back from unit 36 in New Mexico and filled 3 bull tags in 3 days on our first ever elk hunt. We are and will be in very good shape and we understand what...
Hey guys. Just wanted to pick everyone’s brain about unit 49 for elk. Hoping I will get some good feedback. I won’t be getting a tag but a good friend of mine has enough points to go check the unit out. It will be his first bull elk hunt and I’m just trying to make sure we at least get into some...
Thank you to all the people who had positive comments in this thread. Our hunt was a success. And we had a blast. Took us 3 days to kill 3 bulls one of which is an absolute monster. And to all the haters who had negative comments I just wanna say never Underestimate anyone unless you truly know...
This isn’t my first western trip. I have hunted mule deer the past two years and been very successful. I know what to expect and we are not scared to walk. The reason I know this is because Iv done it.
Yea. We got second archery season. So we will only have 10 days to hunt. But we will be up there a few days before to get up the mountain and try and locate some bulls.
My phone number if you get a chance to call is 479-252-0787
I would love to chat more about the trip. I appreciate all the info you have given me so far. We are planning a trip before hand to scout a few days in the end of August. Be a long weekend for us that’s all we will get. I figure I may...
We would definitely be interested in the pack out services. Since we have three tags to fill it would be better suited for us to have help as we kill so we can keep hunting.
Listen I know it an awesome unit. Just don’t know what to expect. This is literally my first elk hunt. We will be in shape. Have been in the mountians chasing deer. Steep and rugged is fine with us. We love it. Just don’t know if we need to get deep or truck hunt. I know both will probably be...
Mike congratulations on your trip. Glad it was a success. We drew some 36 tags this year and if at all possible would like some direction on where to start. Not scared to hike. This will be our first elk hunt all info would be much appreciated.
