Ground shrinkage, deer and elk version

Chamber Empty or Loaded
Usually have a round in the chamber once I am in the field. All my rifles are mausers with 3 position safeties that hold the cocking piece and firing pin in place. Anywhere near vehicles, people, or climbing into a stand, I remove the round from the chamber -

Bullet selection for close range black bear
I'm worried about them not expanding properly on a black bear. To my understanding on the 9.3s the partition was moved forward to improve performance on large game like cape buffalo. Bullet selection for close range black bear
Got a bear hunt booked in N Ontario for spring of 2023. Booked a small outfitter that only hunts 1 week in spring and fall. They average 225lb boars but take a 350-400lb bear each week. Taste testing wild pig meat
Taste test the loins. That will tell you. The boars we have killed either have a musky smell from several feet away or not. All the 1s that didn't stink were fine. Just finished making 170 lbs if chorizo, hot Italian, andouille and breakfast sausage out of some from a trip to Texas.- Foxtrot1

Moving FROM Montana...to Montgomery, AL. Local advice?

Has Anyone Here Been to The Annual Buffalo Roundup in SD?
Get there early and the crowds thin out quickly afterwards. We didn't have a problem moving between the 2 sites after the roundup. The festival was by the main lodge at the park.- Foxtrot1
