I've never been impressed with the velocity of Core-Lokt ammo either. Clocks about 200 fps slow in my rifles. But to answer the question, I like Hornady ILs too.- belly-deep

Metcalf or Pintler
I have both. The Pintler gets the most use by about 10X because it’s just right for a day pack. But for overnights, it’s the Metcalf all the way.- belly-deep

I think you can create a false shoulder on 300 WSM brass and then fireform, but I've never done it. I laid in a supply of federal ammo when it was cheap on closeout. I'm working my way through it, and when that is gone, I'll reload it.- belly-deep
