Great thoughts BigFin. Having Trapper Ed is fine with me. Multiple tags and baiting should both be on the table.
These pop numbers are so low as to a bit comical. FWP denied the wolves howling in my backyard for years until they saw them for a count.

We just expanded an office to uptown Glasgow, MT.

Awesome wolf, Pat. I was hoping you would post the pic of your other wolf. Both are awesome in their own right, but I love the black one. You have got a great trophy in that black. I am super impressed and happy for you.
We have had a couple close calls here, but nothing has come together...
That is a great picture. My daughter shot her fist buck this year very near where you were living at that time, and my wife's family used to own the ranch directly across the creek from woodman in the 60's. The ranch is still called the "Bradshaw Place", and is now owned by the Lolo Trails...
As a MSU grad (twice), I root for the Montana State Bobcats 1st, the Griz second. Once a year, it is easy to root for MSU over the Griz. Now that the Cats are out, I am 100% behind the Griz.
There are some great kids on that team, and it would be a great thing for our State to see them go...
Mike,
Great to see you on here. I met you when I was probably 10 yrs old, and you were mounting (taxidermy) my dad's bighorn ram. You also mounted his goat, if I recall correctly.
I have had the hunting bug for a long time, and now have kids of my own. You have always been known as a great...

Congrats on a great ram,a nd thank you for sharing the story. I had heard you connected and wondered what the story was, so thanks for posting it.
Have a great Holiday season!
Matt
Freat pics. Great ram. Wow, wow, .... wow. Thanks for posting more pics. The chip in the horn is so killer! That is a gagger!
What a great memory for you. Congrats.
Nice pictures. What a great season. It makes things so much more rewarding when we can get our kids involved! Glad to see you doing it right! Nice buck, and cool bull. That is a tough area, and the un-punched tags taste lousy, so I am glad you connected.
When I got mine, I shot it with another chrony, and compared data with 22 lr standard velocity ammo. I recorded the velocity, and kept 3 boxes of this ammo with the chrony. Now if things are funky, I can re-check to see if those loads are shooting near the recorded velocity (same gun...
I have checked it out, and thought that using a canoe would be doable but not ideal due to the access issues. It is great country, but be sure to ask about Griz, as there was a few in there last summer.
I am very interested to hear how things go for you, and if you come up lacking for hunting...
Not a big fan of politicians that stand on principal only when ther back is against the wall, but I do have to admit that it is fun to watch folks root him on after it happens.
This statement came out hours after a pile of heat came upon him, from a wolf policy meeting in D.C. He is pretty...
Great stuff! Really, I am stoked about the new season. When are DVD's of Season 1 and 2 going to be available as a set?
All the best to you in the new year.
