175 is probably overkill for anything in Montana, by the way. I'll be shooting 160s for elk. I worked up this 175 load for my Alaska moose hunt this September.
Anybody shoot 175 grains out of a their 7mm RM? I'm currently loading some up for my moose trip in 5.5 months. Unfortunately, it's been too snowy to get to my usual shooting spots on BLM for most of the winter.
So if a resident wanted to hunt a lion but didn't know anybody with dogs, how would he go about doing that? Everybody I can find online that offer mountain lion hunts is offer fully outfitted trips, with lodging/meals/etc., and asking $4000+. That's not what I'm looking for or willing to spend...
They can be zoomed in (hover over the section you want to zoom on, then click 250m). You can even import each day's image into Google Earth. With some practice, you learn to tell snow from clouds pretty easily.
We're in much better shape in NE Montana than we were in the winter of 2010-2011.
