I haven't hunted with them, but have run into them in the field. They had a packer haul a moose quarter for us in exchange for the kill location (had a client who wanted a bear). They hunt in a good area for moose/bear. We never saw or heard a wolf while we were there.
Leaving a ball attached is the dumbest rule we have, IMO, since the regs don't dictate sex (in most cases), but rather antlered vs antlerless. But, it's the law, so I follow it...
Agreed. Everything I've seen indicates this winter isn't nearly as bad as '10-'11. That spring there were a half dozen dead pronghorn in every snowdrift.
