Third season in Colorado was unusually cold and snowy where I was this year. Almost 2ft of snow up at 10,500ft and windchill values as low as -16. Sure made for some amazing scenery. The deer were migrating lower and rutting and I was able to get this big bodied guy a couple days into the hunt...
Just took my 2017 F150 in to get the cams and oil pan replaced. It was rattling like an old tin can. Only has 60,000 miles. Thankful it is still under warranty.
How did you do your first deer?
I’ve never gutted an animal yet, I’ve always done the gutless method.
You will have to make the call on what you are comfortable doing.
Wasn’t able to hunt archery this year. Went to pick up my camera yesterday and had these guys on it. Any idea what they would score? They look pretty dang nice, and a shooter in my book. This is in a pretty below average unit in CO.
