Skip Silencer Central if you have the option

Oh sure, not complaining about the ATF wait time, nothing they can do about that.

Skip Silencer Central if you have the option

My Dad went to SCI in Jan of this year and stopped by the Silencer Central booth. Ordered a Banish backcountry and a bunch of muzzle breaks, adapters, etc. Went to ATF jail for 10+ months then got the alert he got his tax stamp. Silencer Central sat on that for almost a month and when they...

    Asking for advise

I built a small off-grid cabin on the top of a hill on a piece of property that I bought that connects to the family farm. As I was building it I thought I would put it on AirBNB for some money. The process of building and customizing it changed my mind and I started to think about all of the...

    Idaho 2024- start %itching now

This is solid advice and, secondarily be aware of any magnets on you (think bino-harness) and the impact those have on a compass. Don’t ask me how I found this out.

    Idaho 2024- start %itching now

This is my first time...guess I didn't plan on an all day affair. Only like 200 people through in 33 minutes, this could take a while.

Mule Deer Meat Opinions - A Poll

Sample size of only 1 LOL but couldn't even make it taste manageable as taco meat. He was pretty old and big bodied and had a fat cap like I have never seen on a deer 1.5" thick on his back. I didn't eat/grind the fat but wonder if that had an impact on the taste?

How young is too young to hunt.

Depends on the kid. I know a kid who killed his first antelope at 6 at 180 yds and he was more solid and confident than many adults I’ve hunted with. Edited to add: he shot that antelope with a 6mm Creedmor

Need tripod to hold rifle for my son

Bog death grip is rock solid but very heavy. Consider a trigger stick with the Two point gun rest. Will Be fully supported front and rear but not near as heavy (or sturdy) as a death grip.

    Higher R value pad

Hear me out but a cot is a lot like a hammock you will compress whatever you have under you and the air will freeze you from below. Look Into a cheap hammock quilt or something you can use under the cot to absorb and reflect back body heat. Example below, I actually have one of these and for...

    Loud Gun

A slight twist. I now keep suppressor on all the time so I don’t have to worry about the quick off hand shot making my ears ring for days, but I still try to pop in some plugs if I have time even when the can. I am mid-40s and have tinnitus to the point it messes with my hunting. I miss things...
