In a tree or you are going to try to spot and stalk or call one in? Different gun for each. I used a 30-30 with good results this past winter hunting over hounds. If I were going to be trying to spot and stalk a cat I would likely take my 6.5 PRC just to be able to reach out a bit if needed.
No easements aren't bad, I was just saying that if the neighboring timber company continues to let people access/hunt for free their shareholders will have a good reason to demand they not do that and they also get paid.
Not sure how I feel about this, love seeing land protected but this feels like a slippery slope. Timber companies have, historically, let the public hunt and not gotten anything back from FWP. Why wouldn't they all reach out to get $20MM and a $14MM tax break. This precedent could change...

at SCI I went to their booth and bought one, he told me to put a piece of 3m double sided tape cut to size under my sling mount. So far it has worked pretty slick. Just place double sided tape under it and install/tighten to spec.
