    If you find yourself sitting to glass, this little thing is worth it's weight in gold: https://kestrelglassingsystems.com/ Essentially an adjustable monopod that really makes your binos sturdy for glassing and doesn't get in the way like a tripod can. Clearly not useful standing.

    Took a day or two to get the lay of the land but ended up running two baits up in the panhandle and got it done on a medium size boar.     +1 on Starlink in a small form factor like a phone. I am in middle of nowhere Idaho getting 300 mbps in a tight valley/canyon/what we’d call a holler in Ky.

    The subject says it. iPhone users will be able to send iMessages via satellite when out of service starting with IOS 18. This is a great addition to the current SOS by satellite functionality of the newer iPhones. I will more than likely be retiring my inreach.

    Fair enough, he did say MT. I only mentioned because sometimes people don't know how close ID is (plus the bear tags are $45 and you can buy two). Two hrs west over Lolo pass puts you in the thick stuff, not the interstate by any stretch.
