When you are making changes to programs it is better to alter one variable at a time, especially if it is a significant change. Moving mule deer hunting away from the rut is a significant change, and I fully support that.
How do you know that the mule deer population would continue to decline...
I hear you, but it is not overly difficult to pick up a 2nd season deer tag in the draw in an OTC rifle elk unit and hunt both at the same time. Yes, 3rd and 4th season are much harder.
I guess what I was trying to say is that I fully support removing rut hunting mule deer under a general tag...
I agree with essentially everything you mentioned and I didn’t see anyone else acknowledge your points so I wanted to emphasize them. To your first point, I think the splitting of the Deer/Elk seasons into different months will increase hunter days afield, which is counter to one of the stated...
Micro nuclear reactors will be crucial for the energy resiliency of our military installations and any critical infrastructure we don’t want to go down when China/Russia conduct a cyber attack. The opening of this plant and production of these reactors is a great thing for our national security.
Thanks for the responses. Sounds like I should just use them up.
Can someone with ballistic knowledge let me know if there is any difference between 225 grain XLC and TSX? Is it close enough that my CDS created for the TSX will work well enough?
Some additional clarification. The rounds were loaded for my rifle, which is a 340 Weatherby so it would be a bit much for prairie dogs. I did shoot a portion of the box when they were first loaded, so am confident they would be safe to shoot through the same rifle.
I was gifted my uncle’s...
Hey everyone, I could use your advice. I have a stash of 30 old Barnes XLC (the blue bullets) ammunition that my uncle hand loaded 20ish years ago. They have been sitting unused because he switched over to TSX bullets as soon as they came out and those TSX bullets have performed perfectly for...
I think I need to be educated as well. What have you personally done to make positive improvements for hunters on the ground in MT? Please enlighten the group so we can properly weight your criticism.
I had a similar experience after my first time turkey hunting in Virginia. I am a firm believer of permethrin treated clothing. This brand has worked well for me...
Upon receiving my draw result I immediately went in and brought a ticket for the sheep tag. Also picked up one of the few remaining tickets for the rifle.
