Tractors make great hunting partners:). Shot a nice whitetail buck out the kitchen window one year before work. Had to call and tell them I would be a bit late.
My take on it she led a long life, raised numerous cubs and was towards the end of life, probably a better way to go then suffer by dying from old age.
@Dsnow9, great season so far, love your stories. Now show us your trophy that you are going to win at the climbing championship and then get back to hunting and filling that cool fridge:)
Wow, I was reading this, what the hell are they doing? Going back to the trailhead each day, hiking circuitous routes around 13-14ers, planning 7 mile in hikes, killing goats by 10am and getting back to town that evening. These guys have to be young studs, holy crap! Awesome write-up and...

The WatchDuty app is your friend when it comes to wildfires. Kept us on top of what was happening with the
Elk fire when we could get reception. Knew when to pull camp and get the hell out.
Speaking of bullets, when you shoot a muzzy bullet at under 1700fps and it leaves no bloodshot meat at all, but makes jelly out of the lungs, make sure that you recover both bullets prior to grinding the burger. The one bullet we found buried in the off side shoulder, the one we didn't was in...
