Have always worked on the premiss that just leave enough room so the rounds won't bind, not giving enough thought to damage to tips under recoil. Will have to rethink my process.
Love mine, just got another set in blaze orange. Easy to clean and very durable, just don't hold up too well against a determined pine marten, but that was my cow elk and my partner's game bags, so all's good:)

That is one of the hard things about dark timber and wind that is drifting around, hard to tell which way to look for the smelly elk. Moose if in the rut smell like tomcat piss.
That could be the case, because with either H110 or CFE Black, not much powder in the case, but the bullet takes up a whole lot of room. Can't feel/hear any powder slop with the bullet seated. I will keep playing with it to see if I can find a suitable accurate load.
