    That is one of the hard things about dark timber and wind that is drifting around, hard to tell which way to look for the smelly elk. Moose if in the rut smell like tomcat piss.

    That could be the case, because with either H110 or CFE Black, not much powder in the case, but the bullet takes up a whole lot of room. Can't feel/hear any powder slop with the bullet seated. I will keep playing with it to see if I can find a suitable accurate load.

    My Traditions likes 290 Barnes T-EZ over 2 50 gr Triple Seven pellets, just shy of 1700fps. The bull I killed a few weeks ago sure didn't like it.
