I wasnt even thinking about kittens!! Just adults. Well that makes a lot of sense that canines would impact lion populations then. Thanks for making me see the light lol.
I still feel bad for CA's deer population getting hammered constantly by current predators. Now I wonder if wolves...
A study outside Missoula on a winter elk kill by a lion showed a lone wolf coming into the kill to feed. The wolf was skittish, ate quick and left, tail tucked. Lions have been known to kill wolves, but doubtfully when they are in a pack. A lone wolf stands little chance against a lion. A...
Surprised no one said salt and dish soap. Just use a healthy amount of both and scrub with an abrasive pad. This removes rust and old seasoning. Oil and bake for an hour at 350* to season. Done. This is literally the method recommended by the Lodge cast iron brand. Had to do it to a whole...
@Raisin Bran Whats your GVWR? Is your truck a ccsb or cclb? Single cab?
Im curious because I dont NEED a ccsb 3500, and would love the mpg the 1500 baby duramax gets when not towing. When I spec'd out a new 1500 the gvwr was too low. I tow a 30' travel trailer with a 8800lb gvwr. Sometimes...
@Malcolm Brooks As a resident of El Dorado County, it really hit home when your nephews were attacked. Im sorry for your family's loss. We are honestly overrun with lions in the foothills and everything you stated is 100% correct.
I have a 2020 chevy 3500 diesel. I get 14-16 daily with no load but i live in the mountains. Flatland it gets 16 city, up to 20 hwy unloaded. Towing in the mtns Im at 10-11 mpg with a 8000lb load, flatland maybe 12-13. Mileage doesnt change with a ton in the bed, just rides better.
Hugely...
Not the kind of story I like to read while rocking my 2 year old girl to sleep. I pray neither of my kids turn out like me as a teenager.
Some teens are just crazy little shits, I would know, but my generation was just shy of full blown social media.
When my parents tried to be more strict...
There you have it from SCOTUS. AR-15s are the most popular rifle in America today. They are common use, non-militaristic, and fall completely within the scope of the 2nd Amendment. Cannot be banned, end of discussion.
Now we have to fight in CA to not have to be registered, taxed, safety...
Thats where the Bruen decision will change everything across the nation. Rights have to be equally applied across all 50 states. Rights can be more lenient in other states, but not more strict. CA and all the other anti-gun states are in for a rude awakening as the magnitude of this precedent...
For the stocked trout we use a slider weight and a small hook with powerbait, green orange or a combo.
For spinners, hard to beat a selection of panther martens. Maybe rooster tails or a fake bug. Real bugs work too if legal and adds extra fun for kids catching bait.
Thanks. Since Im stuck here with family I have no choice but to remain optimistic, learn the laws, and follow court cases. The recent wins in the courts keep giving me hope. What slows down progress of winning battles like owning suppressors here is having to fight all the other stupid battles...
I really like kastking reels, never tried their rods. Im an uglystik rod user.
For backing packing in setups with kids, I have always done the 3 or 4 piece break down rods with reels detached. Only issue with 2 foot sections is having to be careful of brush when hiking in. They tend to stick...
We dont have equal 2A rights with the rest of the country.
Or you say the ammo in question was purchased long before any laws were enacted. This law will be thrown out on the grounds of interfering with interstate commerce in which the state law is superseded by federal law.
In about 10 years and with tens of millions in legal costs, all this BS will be overturned by the courts. We will own suppressors in CA, on our AR-15s. Mark my word.
Damn just yesterday I left this thread at page 6 and it was kind of slow. Busy all day with work n kids, then bam!! 9 pages of gold to catch up on. Appreciate y'alls hard work here.
Washington Gun Law has a great review of the historic ruling, see link below.
In summary, alphabet agencies were free to interpret laws passed by the legislative branch, under the direction of the executive branch, according to the chevron ruling. This hamstrung the judicial branch(their own...
