I agree with Utah400elk. Unfortunately it looks like Bishop (and probably Cruz from my state) is going to be part of the landscape for a while. We can contact our own congressmen on the issues, but there ought to be another way to apply pressure. Any suggestions on applying pressure on the NRA...
My brother has an appliance repair business. These things last forever - how old was your old one? The door gasket will go first, but with a chest type the impact of a bad door gasket is minimal. If you buy new get the basic model - on the frost-free uprights you are basically waiting for the...
I also have a deerstalker in .54. After a season of hunting with it, I concluded that I should have spent more money and bought the deerslayer. I was able to get it to shoot more accurately by using a very tight ball / wad combination. Then i bought an in-line and never regretted it.
I have used the Cabelas cart, but IMO the big problem with 2-wheeled carts is that unless you are on a road or maintained trail you cannot miss the rocks. One wheel is always going over a rock. I use a wheelbarrow with a piece of plywood instead of the pan, and with a "lift kit" - another...
Actually, I was on my way to watch one of the free videos on Youtube and got sidetracked by the forums. I guess I need to add another bookmark instead of going thru HuntTalk. And I was trying to keep this stuff a secret...
I have a T3 with wood stock in 6.5x55 for metallic silhouette, and a T3lite SS in 7 mag for hunting. I think both are great. I own a series of Rem 700s and a model 7, but the Tikka wins hands down.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed that a lot. Living in Houston I don't own any stock, but have often wondered what packing with llamas would be like. The reality is different from the ads, but it still looks better than a backpack.
Does anyone have a line on predictive maintenance for a Nissan similar to what would be used on a compressor or gas turbine in an industrial plant? Analyzing used ATF for example, to detect metal particles. That might be a whole lot more cost effective than a new truck.
I agree that the first thing to do is watch Big Fin's videos. The Colorado Dept of WIldlife website also has a section called Elk Hunting University.
Figuring out where to spend and where to save takes some work. I try not to buy the high-end stuff the first time I hear about it. I...
I bought an MR Dragonslayer when they went on sale last year. A major upgrade from the Kelty Grizzly I was using. MR makes packs for the industrial user - fire crews, military, Fresh Tracks film crews, etc.
The Dragonslayer reminds me of a thread here a while back about how much a beaver can...
We drew - type 6 cow / calf tags, and will buy another point this year. hopefully i will still be able to hobble when I get enough points for a bull tag.
My one Zeiss scope (conquest) would not adjust right out of the box. It went back and the model was discontinued so i got a refund. i have had two Burris scopes where the adjustments failed. My one Nikon Monarch is 20+ years old and continues to work fine.
I have had no issues with Leupolds...
The Malheur occupiers appear to be the modern, American equivalent of the hopeful revolutionaries in Russia who were slaughtered by the communists after the 1917 revolution.
