Here is the elk. The log is most definitely holding him in place. I will share that the advantage that the NDGuy knife has over my disposable blade Havalon definitely comes when removing legs and shearing the tufts of hair at the antler bases. A robust fixed blade really prys well and creates... -

Water for Hydration in freezing temps
Looking at some sub freezing temps and planning on attempting a back country elk hunt. What do you guys do to keep your water for hydration from freezing up? I am planning on using a gravity fed water filter bit frozen hoses are going to be the most likely result.- Nambaster

I am a die hard bolt gun guy. This AR-15 was inherited from my little brother. I would like to convert it into a practical coyote rifle. It currently has a redot hologram thingymajig for sights. Definitely prefer the good ole 3-9x40 but in this case I am happy to go even smaller to 32mm...- Nambaster

I took it out to get her zeroed and I noticed a little play between the barrel and the stock. She would pattern closer than 4” so it looks like I a, going to have to do some work to get it bedded. Kicks like a healthy mule. -
