Still Kicking!
I have an old friend in his early 80’s. He got a Black Lab puppy a year ago. It has turned into a 96 lb. Goofball !! He said it has been the best thing for him … keeps him hiking and active. We all know that a tired puppy is a well behaved puppy !!!!- F250

Which caliber?
.300 Win Mag would be my vote. Ammo available pretty much anywhere and a good variety. It will do it all - antelope to big bear. -

How many hunting rifles do you have?

Looking for suggestions on a new caliber
I recently switched to a 7mm-08 for deer. However, I would recommend the .270 Win. You can find ammo for it almost anywhere. The .270 served me well for decades : deer, elk, moose, caribou. I still own two. Carried one for work for many years.- F250

Why is shed hunting so popular now?
I never understood the shed hunting thing. Why would I want antlers off an animal that I didn’t kill ? Then again, the entire antler/score/tape measure thing is not important to me. Different folks have different priorities. We each set our own.- F250

game sled, roll-up/packable type any good?
Cabela’s used to sell those roll up sleds as did LL Bean. We used them for years on deer. Better than dragging a deer without one.- F250

Wildgame meat transported back into the US.
As said above, call the US Customs station where you plan to cross. Ask to speak with a supervisor. The CDC (yup, the ones that handled COVID so well) recently set some ridiculous rules regarding returning from Canada with your dog. I called The US Customs POE where we cross.
