I have 20 CO points that I am planning on using in 2021 and as a CO resident will probably get me the tag I want. The reason I have so many is that I would put in for a private land cow tag (B list) as second choice after a first choice that was usually 10 points away and the cow tag was a lock...
Yup set this one up for back country use, particularly when doing search and rescue. probably have 23K invested in this one, rack/cage was built by a race shop with light steel tubing. Just don't use it very much anymore as I am horseback more often than in a vehicle. The 4 inch lift and the...
I am selling my 1987 Toyota F60, converted to 350 throttle body injection V8 power, old man emu 4 inch lift, full external cage with roof rack, mechanically very solid, cosmetically rough interior, exterior 7 year old repaint, no rust, decent tires, 20K miles on new engine. Thought someone here...
Thanks, the EGW rail is about .2 taller than the Warne bases I usually use so to some extent it probably a mind trick as the difference is really just the same as going from low to medium rings.
not 100% on this , but I recall the tactical 110 gr is designed for penetration (thru car doors and windshields for example) so behaves like a solid in game.
Thanks! Kind of the direction I was headed, got the EGW bases and with low Warne rings I was about 3/4 inch of clearance and probably 2 plus inches above the bore which felt a little high.
Always think you have one more hunt in you no matter what! Thinking about all the wonderful experiences come back every time I look at a trophy on the wall, My wife laughs when someone asks where I shot something and I can tell them who/what/where/ the weather and what I had for breakfast the...
Both still lock up tight, the 32-20 has a Winchester peep and Beeches flip up front, the 38-40 a Lyman peep, both excellent bores, 32 about 90% blue, the 38 maybe 50-60% mostly nice patina.
I will get some pictures up and you can tell me what you think, have to check my book but I doubt I have $1k in both bought in the 80's. Both of mine have mint bores and function flawlessly.
I have a 32-20 that is about 90% and a 38-40 about the same as the one on the left. These are fun to shoot, shot a prarie dog with the 32-20! These were pretty cheap 30 years ago,no one seemed to care now they seem to start around $1K AND GO UP.
Three amigos, Ballard 40-65, 45-70 (middle stainless BBL) and 22 LR (my favorite) the 22 and 40-65 are identical in weight and balance so I could switch match events (silhouette) and have the same "feel" all are less than 1 moa with open sights, the 40-65 and 45-70 don't even settle down until...
Two of my favorites, a Model 94 deluxe take down with exhibition wood and pencil carbine length barrel in 30-30, a Model 70 Super grade 257 Roberts ca. 1952, fancy wood for a super grade so probably special order. Shot two white tails with 94 and 3-4 with the 257 then they became safe queens.
I had 2 Sakos in college, one 222 mag and one 222 that were my first really accurate rifles. I saved $250 from summer work and bought a third, a Forrester action in the original stock that was a wildcat 6.5X284 (for that price I got dies and cases too!) traded them off over the years, wish I had...
