Ok gentlemen (ladies too) what chrono should I buy to replace the old model PACT I have that seems to have crapped out after 20 years. I like the idea of wi fi to my phone or iPad to record vs writing down strings before I clear. Simple is better for me, however I can probably rent a millennial...
one suggestion, I noted the screw heads attaching the seat, we used to have a setup like that (unfortunately with 4 screw heads) and the first guy out in the am on a minus 5 degree day got nice little frosty dimples on his ass, we subsequently glued the seat to the frame. Otherwise OUTSTANDING!
Just put a nice AR 556 up for sale at a local shop for $1200 with 300 rounds of green tip lake city, I think they were more excited about the ammo than a solid mag pull furnished AR!
this still works great in my 257 weatherby, the price suggests I bought it in 1974, when the last $3.25 pounds are used I will have to switch for 115 gr nosier in that rifle. Is anyone using H1000 in the 257 W? I have a few pounds of that.
Aimpoint Patrol Optic is what I have on duty carbine as super long battery life so leaving it on in the trunk it can be grabbed and aimed without turning anything on, I think they claim 1,000 hour battery life on medium setting. It is 2 moa. the Tru Glow are less expensive and have an activation...
Used to do the same thing, keep in mind many gun clubs used to order for members TONS of shot, pallets of shotgun shells to save $$ on delivery and get bulk pricing, same deal for things that were not readily shipable like primers so the minimum offer was a 5,000 primer case and we would often...
My go to scotch has always been Macallan, but for Whisky it is Pappy Van Winkle's either Rye or Bourbon, a little pricey; my favorite rye at the lower price (but very high quality) is either Redemption or Rittenhouse both pre prohibition style. Great for you heathens like Saskhunter who mix !8...
Ben is Probably one of the most involved, knowledgeable and dedicated individuals on conservation and wilderness on this forum, not that he needs any defense.
That was the plan set a nice camp that we can use for both.
I need the added incentive to get in super shape! For the last several years I have been pretty limited to where I could get horseback, and even that was limited. The classic dilemma as CO has added to the draw only hunts and when you...
I am in the never land of Colorado preference points (just seem to staying 1-2 points away) and at 73 i don't think I will live long enough to tag out for the super prime areas like 66 and 201 for early rifle. With a new knee scheduled in 2 weeks I should be back in shape to do some serious...
Both of these powders produce MOA accuracy (actually better with accubond 150's) in my 280 AI, I like the 4350 a little more in the 160 gr bullet weights. RL22 works too, just not as accurate in my rifle.
Hmm I have seen a number of mountain bikes in carbon fiber that cost more than 2 pack horses (not counting care and feed), In Colorado horses have priority as a matter of courtesy and SAFETY for all involved. An interesting aside was a case in SW CO when a dirt biker came up on a guy leading a...
My favorite experience was when I was riding drag with several horses in front, on my draft mule, Clyde, who disliked anything that came up behind him. We had a biker come in behind us and I offered to get the critters off the trail and let him by at the next place the trail got wide enough...
One of my favorites, don't miss "Use Enough Gun" , "UHURU" and "Honey Badger", I have enjoyed all his books the "Old Man's Boy Grows Older" is a good read too. I enjoy Ruark even more as I get older, reading him as a 12 year old put African hunting at the top of my bucket list, more so than...
