Out of the 3 you listed, I’d recommend the SlickTrick. Used to shoot the ViperTrick, but in the last few years, the quality control has went down.
I’m back with Magnus Buzzcut this year. No fuss, no issues, just a great COC head.
You’d be surprised at how much stuff is in it now and it’s not full.
Only issue is it needs a handle. Got a strap that I put on once in a while. Easier to carry. It’s a grab and go piece of equipment.
Don’t know that it makes me happy, but I sure don’t regret buying it.
Ya know what, I’ve got one and I like it.
Own several Yeti cooler, none that I paid full price for. For me, I feel they’re worth the money.
I don’t know that the Coleman’s or Igloos will pass the “Bear Proof” question in Wyoming.
Go ahead and make fun, it’s my money and opinion.
Ditto to the above 2 posts!
I’d be finding a new shop or better yet, learn to tune yourself.
The more you do yourself, the more satisfaction you’ll have in archery.
My 3 furthest tracking jobs have been after shooting mechanicals, a Spitfire and 2 Hypodermics.
I like the design of the Hypodermic, but hated the collars. Now with the NC design, might give them a try again.
I truly believe that deer react less to being hit with a sharp COC head than any...
ccc, I’ve got to say that most of the folks I’ve met from or in Wyoming have been upstanding folks.
Must be that Wyoming doesn’t allow A-holes in its boarders.
Not chasing speed, just using it for comparison.
So far very happy with the TSX bullets.
Mainly looking for conformation that the 300 SAUM will do what I need it to do.
Speeds were to compare two rifles.
Looking at doing a all around load for a couple 300s that I have.
First is a Remington 673 in 300 SAUM, second a Weathermark in 300 Weatherby.
The SAUM shoots a 168 TSX very well, 3/4”.
The Weatherby, a 180 TSX at 7/8”.
Listed loads show the SAUM at 3010 with a 24” barrel, so around 2800 fps...
I’m taking a 70# bow with 100 grain broadheads to Canada next month. That’s all I’ve ever shot bears with.
I would use a TSX in a 257 or 300 Weatherby without hesitation.
My 325 wsm prefers a 200 Partition and would be a bitter pill for any black bear.
