Like new, just killed a cow elk with this last Thursday! Rifle has been "skim bedded" in addtition to its factory Pillar Bedding. Has a Trigger Tech Special trigger also. What pistol caliber?
There is the Double Tap 10mm with 230 HC that is a good penetrator. The 140 Lehigh Penetrator is another. Think of a handgun as a "hand drill", it has to penetrate to vital organs. One of these loads above would "hurt" a bad guy too! Just saying the 10mm Glock is a good one. -

30-06 200 grain
I too loaded the 200gr (Sierra/Speer) over 54gr IMR 4350 for years. When I moved to Utah, for grins, I worked up a load with 60gr/R22 for it in a 24" '06. I was getting 2640 or so. Preferred .300 Mag Elk Loads You Use?

Winchester model 70 - sporter vs featherweight?
