The new action looks to have some nice upgrades and Im curious if they will sell just actions in the future.
I’m hopeful with D’arcy as CEO and a new bolt Remington will finally fix the Primary Extraction!
I had a TT Special that locked up on me. The safety was stuck in the safe position and wouldn’t budge. Luckily it was after I had already killed a buck.
TT replaced it immediately and said they would let me know what the outcome was but I never heard back.
Given the barrel choice and length I changed my vote to 6.5CM due to popularity and available factory ammo.
If you’re building more than 1 then 270Win would be next choice.
Tritip is a staple in our house. Use a simple salt, pepper, garlic seasoning and cook over an open flame red oak fire. Sear it off on both sides then finish at medium rare.
True but normally they are dented inward from my experience. Also they can be dented from the ejection port if it’s smaller or the ejection angle is too much.
Looks like some rubs/scrape marks on the Bergara case just above the belt. That neck is certainly out of round also. I’d bet the chamber is non concentric also.
Trued Rem700 or Tikka action, fluted barrel and any number of stocks. Coated metal and quality parts help sell them.
As for cartridge for an easy sale the PRC or creedmoor variety are popular no doubt.
It’s a shame a company can’t stand behind their product when something like this happens. There are bound to be a few that slip by QC but at least make them right when a customer has legitimate issues.
A simple rebarrel would solve your issues I’m sure.
Belted mag chambers/reamers can be all over the place but your measurements seem pretty spot on. If you are getting a consistent measurement I’d trim .010-.015 shorter and run them. You will know if it’s too long and pressure will soar.
Are you setting up your sizing die to just bump the...
Mine was also besides the kitchen. Also someone painted over the entire living room ceiling popcorn. A little sprayer and wetting it helped but it was still a pain. Glad I did the whole house at once though.
I know the feeling. We did 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and the living room all in one shot. Scraping popcorn ceilings is a chore!😃
Still have the kitchen and another bathroom to knock out next.
