Sounds like a good plan so far. I’d try to find a couple more spots in case the first couple don’t turn up any good bucks.
You may have snow, rain and sun all in the same day. Be prepared for some weather just in case.

It’s sad but true. One of the BMA I have previously hunted is not going to be available anymore due to hunters ruining things. It’s a shame but I understand the landowners frustration.
This works awesome. Once I started with the timer pictures are wayyy better.
Also holding on the screen until the auto focus locks can help in certain situations.
No offense but If $40 is keeping you from sighting in to go deer hunting you might want to look into another hobby. With the price of gas it will probably cost more to drive to a hunting spot than $40 during a season.
I would sight the rifle in dead on at 100 yards and call it good.
If you bed the lug without any clearance it’s pretty tight. You usually need an action puller tool to lift it straight out or they won’t come out easily at all. You also run the risk of chipping/damaging the bedding if it isn’t pulled straight up.
