    Dams That Never Were

The Pick-Sloan Plan for the Missouri River Basin (authorized by the Flood Control Act of December 22, 1944) basically had a reservoir planned on every flowing stream in the Missouri River Basin. Many of those dams were constructed and now provide abundant recreational opportunities. However...

    Unofficial WY app numbers

Actually quite a few of those antelope hunters will have their wives (or girl friends), and/or kids with them when they travel to antelope country to hunt. ClearCreek

    Any recommendation for 30.06 ammo

Pronghorn are rather small animals, so my opinion is all you need is an accurate (for your rifle) cap and core bullet. Remington Core-lokt or Hornady Interlock bullets will do just fine. Hit them in the right spot and you will be eating antelope. ClearCreek

    Made in the U.S.A.

All Weatherby Mark V's are made in the USA. Again, I ask does "Made in America or USA" include assembled in this country? The parts for the Mark V are not made at the Weatherby headquarters in Sheridan, WY, but they are assembled there. I have a feeling the parts are not even made in this...

    Hornady Interbond bullets?

I acquired a box of .284 diameter 154 grain Hornady Interbonds some time ago when they were somewhat available. Out of that box of bullets a Shiras moose (7mm-08), a bighorn sheep (7mm Rem. Mag) and a white-tailed buck (7mm Rem Mag - ammo left over from the sheep hunt) have been taken. The...

    Bear Attack Speed Video

I read the article in full. It was YOUR choice of words, "Interesting video from Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming." that could be construed as happening at Curt Gowdy SP. You can "LOL" all you want, what you posted was not funny at all. ClearCreek

    Bear Attack Speed Video

I am not sure what you were implying when you said, "Interesting video from Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming". Did you mean this event happened at Curt Gowdy State Park or did you mean the video was on their Facebook page? The way you have it worded many people might think the grizzly bear was...

    Wyoming Antelope Regulation Questions?

Keeping evidence of sex for antelope is very easy in Wyoming. Cut off the udder on a doe or the scrotum on a buck and place in a zip lock bag. The regulations in Wyoming no longer require a hunter to keep the evidence attached to a piece of meat. ALWAYS keep this zip lock bag with the...

If you have the license and you-- stay home = 0% hunt the area but don't get off the roads = 20-30% hunt the area and spend a fair amount of time out of your vehicle wandering the hills = 80% (maybe higher, depends how picky you are) I know hunters that have been successful hunting this area...

    Crooked Horn Antelope

WyoDoug: I am well aware of the techniques used to age big game animals using teeth, either with tooth replacement or with cross sectioning incisors. I have looked in the mouths of over a thousand pronghorn antelope, both bucks and does, to determine age and record the information. ClearCreek
