Quietest bow?
My Mathews Phase 4 is definitely the quietest bow I've ever shot. I have zero loyalty to any specific brand but this thing is noticeably quiet. I'm also shooting 585gn but did shoot some arrows around 400gn and did not notice any additional noise. -

2023 BEAR SEASON RESULTS SHOW DROP IN TOTAL HARVEST AND HUNTER SUCCESS RATES
The significant acorn drop affected hound hunting too. They just weren’t moving enough to cut many tracks. Probably laid up on a hillside getting fat.- Arcola

WTF? There is so much wrong with this. 223 is plenty effective at that range. Take better shots and chain up your effen dog until you have a real tracking job for it. Allowing an untrained dog to bump a wounded deer is irresponsible and stupid. For all you know there’s a dead deer just outside... -
Anybody have a good jerky recipe for the oven?
I use the Hi Mountain cure and season it with whatever flavors sound the best at the time. S,P,G is obviously an easy favorite. Or just season it like you would a steak or a roast. Credo HX is a great bang for your buck. Nightforce NXS is my go to for super light mountain rifles though. -

Barrel stove for shop
Had one in a 30x40 with nothing but poly on the ceiling. It was comfortable at 20 degrees with a box fan for circulation.
