I bought 3 different size Ankers approx 4 years ago. 20k, 10k and 6.8k (?). The 10k seems best for my needs. Its small , light and streamlined. If doing all over again I would go with two 10ks Ankers and call it good. No issues with any of my well used sizes. After many charges all still working...
Still pretty early for me but I need to treat my leather boots. I do a lot of equipment clean up and maintenance post season so not much to do other than putting new batteries in electronics( i take old ones out at the end of season). I toss any clothing that needs attention in a tub and address...
The few boots I had resoled over the years worked out ok. But they were not mountain boots that might be breaking down from the inside out. I’m not sure
I ever had a pair of boots fully rebuilt. But suspect it is more than what I got from the corner shoe repair guy.
So for my money I would go...
I had a guy make me 40 lbs of snack sticks once. I basically lazed out. I felt it was expensive. I have done sticks myself so I know its quite a bit of work so I didnt begrudge him . And they were very good.
It probably had been a good deal if I had just taken him the deer. But he charges the...
Same on our lease. I been dealing with them pigs for 40 years. First in Florida and now in Alabama. Those ruts are tough on Ag equipment and vegetable crops.
I understand some people like to hunt them for sport and meat but in the end they are a prolific ,invasive and destructive pest.
I might...
A few of my buddies would give away their deer to someone in camp as their wives wouldn't eat it. They might take the back straps home but the rest they would give away.
One buddy in particular decided to get some snack sticks made. His wife who swore she would never eat venison gobbled them...
If you give someone a pack of snack sticks they don't have to cook it. They just pull it out of the pack and chew it up. If you give them raw meat then they have to figure out how to use it.
I have noticed many more people enjoy snack stix over just wild game burger or steak. I call it the gateway drug into getting spouses and family to eat wild game.
I think some of it is just convenient as you dont have to cook it.
On my private property lease we have an area we dump that stuff. I try and only bring home boned out meat. If I did have to bring bones back to suburbia I would just put it in heavy contractor bags and put it out on trash day.
About 30 years ago I stayed in a flea bag hotel in North Carolina. They had a buffet in a small banquet room that was included in the price of the room. The room smelled terrible , mildew in the bathroom and just run down. Stains on the lamp shades.
I go to the buffet. I get down to the gravy...
I use these as well. Before these I used frozen 2 gallon rectangular water jugs. While these are much more expensive they are much more durable and fit better in many different size coolers. I bought 8 about five years ago. All still in use today. My strategy for dealing with water in the bottom...
Seems like every piece of technology I buy is obsolete in a year or two. If not obsolete theres at least another better option out. I’m not a cutting edge buyer in the product life cycle so I’m alway lagging behind one generation on gizmos.
