This thread is several months old now and I'm seeing more powders become available at the local gun stores, however, I'm not seeing any Alliant powders yet. Is anyone out there finding this pixie dust? I'm getting desperate for some RL 33 for my 28 Nosler. Down to the last half lb. I'm...
I totally agree with GM about not going solo. Goat country is often dangerous so you could get in a real pickle if someone is not with you.
My opinion about hair is different than some. I've seen lots of really nice looking September goats and I would choose to go earlier than later if it were...
I agree ccc.
Hunting terms like Big 3, Big 5, Grand Slam, Deer Slam, or whatever, are meaningless if the adventure is missed along the way.
In my mind the same is true if someone has to ask, "what did it score?", letting a measuring tape determine the success of a hunt.
Getting an opportunity...
I've applied for tags to hunt every species in Nevada, except antelope, for the last 20 years with Zero draws...but you are telling me there is still a chance? Yeah!
Congratulations poormanslam.
There is nothing better than having a sheep tag in your pocket and it's always an adventure.
That said, I know a NR from last year who tried DIY and never saw a mature ram outside the wilderness. I think the bears also gave him a pretty good scare but it sounds like...

Keep after it TN, you lucky dog.

In High School I ate 25 cent hamburgers and pumped 19 cent a gallon gas!
In 1980 my new house cost 73K and I never thought I would be able to afford the $385 a month payments.
Times change and I'm obviously old!
I think I paid $1200 for my Wyoming sheep tag in 2004 but I don't remember for sure. If it was cheaper in 2000 it would have been between 800-1000. That's my guess.
We have been losing bighorn sheep ever since domestic sheep were brought to North America, but they are still here because of sportsman's interest and funding.
In my mind, the only way laws will be enacted will be when the value of Wild Sheep becomes as important to the general population as the...
Thanks for the link WanderWoman. I watched it the other day and wanted to post it, but didn't know how.
This documentary is an outstanding production every sheep enthusiast should watch.
I wish it was mandatory for domestic sheep operations to also view it.
As HF says, there are many dedicated...
Ha,
Yeh, he's pretty spoiled. He killed a 200" muley in Colorado this year as well.
Oh, and then there is his Book Mt. Goat, and Book Caribou.
